WELCOME TO THE CLUB
The Construction Technology and Robotics Laboratory – CTRL e.V., pronounced “Control” – is an accredited student initiative at RWTH Aachen University. Our goal is to bring together students, researchers, and industry partners to actively shape the future of construction with innovative approaches, new technologies, and robotics.
MISSION
OUR VISION
Our focus is on exchange, networking events, workshops, and joint projects. This is how we promote innovation at the intersection of construction, technology, and robotics. Through our collaborations, we provide access to spaces and hardware where ideas can be tested, skills developed, and interdisciplinary teamwork translated into concrete projects.
As a non-profit association, we connect curious minds, foster collaborative learning, and support projects that advance the construction of tomorrow through technology, creativity, and teamwork.

CTRL e.V. is an accredited student initiative at RWTH Aachen University. We see ourselves as an open platform for anyone enthusiastic about construction technology, robotics, innovation, and the future of building.
We are constantly looking for new active members, exciting perspectives, and individuals who want to contribute their ideas, knowledge, and motivation.
Openness is particularly important to us: generally, anyone can get involved—regardless of whether you study at RWTH Aachen, FH Aachen, or another university, whether you are already professionally active, simply bring an enthusiasm for technological innovation, or want to support young talent and forward-looking developments as a company.
CTRL thrives on interdisciplinary exchange. Different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints are not just an addition for us, but a central part of what makes our association.

Student Membership
For students who want to actively participate, shape the association, and work on new ideas and projects with us.
Non-Student Membership
For individuals outside of university studies who are interested in our topics and want to enrich the association with their experience, expertise, or commitment.
