HUMANOIDS IN CONSTRUCTION
Round table and workshop on humanoid robots in construction
Students and construction companies sit together and work out where humanoid robots could really help in construction, and where they can't.
Humanoid robots are getting cheaper, and the first ones already work in logistics and car plants. For construction there is no clear answer yet. So we want to bring students, companies and people from the site around one table and ask one question: which tasks are worth giving to a humanoid?

Four questions for every task
Why a humanoid? Would a simpler robot do this task better?
Can it work? What must the robot do that it can't do yet?
Is it safe? People nearby, site rules, and who is responsible.
Is it worth it? Cost, time saved, and who gains from it.
Robots on the market
We start from robots you can buy today. These are examples for the discussion.

G1
Small and light. What can a robot this size really carry on site?

H2
As tall as a person. Can it use the same doors, stairs and tools as we do?

Oli
Full size. How well can it work right next to people?

A2
Full size. What happens when dust, mud and uneven floors come in?
Images are AI-generated.
What could come out
- 01A map of the tasks worth testing first
- 02A short public summary
- 03Next steps: student projects, thesis topics and first tests with companies
Students of robotics, civil engineering and architecture, together with people from construction companies, from the site itself, from robot makers and from research.
The people who know the work and the people who know the robots rarely sit at one table. What they find out together shows which tasks are worth testing first.
